Developing your Skills
The selection process is totally based on skill matching. Once you have submited your resume, skill terms are extracted from the text. When a vacancy occurs, a resume search is done to locate applicants with the skills needed to perform the duties of the vacant position. If your skills match the required skills of the position, the department may contact you.
Generic skills, attitudes and behaviors are what employers look for in new employee. You can develop these skills at college, work, and through a variety of online courses. Developing these skills can asset you dramatically, and improve your chances for employment.
